Ruel Sailor

RuEl Sailor is a Cleveland, Ohio native, the owner of Comma Club Clothing, and the Executive Director of Comma Club Community. Comma Club Clothing is a brand that offers a variety of designs, including T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and jogging suits. He is also a co-founder of Voices of Injustice, an organization led by six men who were wrongfully convicted and are now working to help others in similar situations while advocating for a more just society. Comma Club Community, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to community outreach and youth mentoring.

The word “Comma” in Comma Club stands for Creating Opportunities, Making More Achievements, with the comma symbolizing continuation—representing resilience, perseverance, and the ongoing pursuit of success.

After serving 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, RuEl was exonerated on March 28, 2018. His relentless fight for freedom became the driving force behind his clothing brand and his commitment to giving back to the community.

Today, RuEl travels the nation, sharing his powerful story—detailing his life before incarceration, his battle for justice, and his journey after overcoming a life sentence. Through his experiences, he inspires others to persevere, embrace resilience, and turn adversity into purpose.

Beyond his work, RuEl cherishes time with his family, wife, children, and grandchildren.
